There are many ways to get involved in the General Plan Update.
Attend Community Workshops
A series of community workshops will be held throughout the General Plan Update. Sign up now to receive notifications of upcoming community workshops and public hearings, or check the calendar.
- Visioning and Issue Identification Workshop: In this first workshop, the General Plan team will provide an overview of the General Plan and lead participants through interactive exercises to capture visions, values, issues and opportunities for the City of Murrieta. Tell us about your experiences in Murrieta and your hopes for the future! The workshop will be held twice in order to make participation more convenient. Murrieta’s youth are welcome at this workshop, and there will also be a separate visioning workshop for teens.
- Land Use Workshop: Participants will explore different scenarios for land use and growth.
- Goals & Policies Workshop: This workshop will present draft goals and policies for the General Plan.
- Draft Policy Document Workshop: This final workshop will allow the community to review and comment on the overall draft plan.
Take Surveys
There will be two online surveys during the General Plan Update that will complement the visioning and issue identification workshops. The first survey will explore what community members treasure about Murrieta, what challenges they see, and their visions for the future. A follow-up survey will prompt community members to consider and build upon the input received in the first survey and workshops. Sign up to receive email notifications when online surveys are posted.
