Where is the current General Plan?
The current Murrieta General Plan is available online. It was adopted in 1994. Updates to the Land Use, Circulation, and Economic Development Elements in the General Plan were adopted in 2006.

What is a land use designation?
The General Plan designates different types of land uses that are allowed in Murrieta, such as residential, commercial, industrial, civic/institutional, parks, and open space.  Each land use designation includes standards for the intensity of use such as the number of housing units per acre of land, or the ratio of square feet in a commercial building to the size of the lot where it is located.
